About the Role
Parallel is seeking an Environmental Services Technician I to join their Massachusetts facility. This hands-on position is ideal for individuals interested in supporting operational efficiency and safety in a fast-paced, regulated industry. The role provides an opportunity for H-1B visa sponsorship for eligible candidates.
As part of the facility team, you will help maintain sanitary and safe conditions, handle waste disposal, restock supplies, and ensure compliance with state regulations for medical cannabis operations. This position is physically demanding and requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness in production, cultivation, and common areas, including floors, walls, glass, and restrooms.
- Safely handle, label, and store cleaning materials according to company policies.
- Dispose of cannabis waste in compliance with state regulations.
- Monitor building safety, report hazards, and secure doors.
- Restock cleaning supplies and other facility materials as needed.
- Communicate maintenance or repair needs to Facilities Management.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid government-issued ID.
- 0–2 years of experience in custodial, environmental, or sanitation roles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and 80 lbs with assistance.
- Comfortable working in hot (over 100°F) and humid conditions.
- Knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully.
- Physically capable of standing, kneeling, squatting, and performing repetitive tasks.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work well in a team environment.
