Job Opportunity
Genser Energy is seeking a Health & Safety Associate to support its projects and operations. This role is pivotal in implementing health and safety strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining safe working environments across all activities, including Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M).
This position is ideal for professionals with experience in oil and gas or heavy industrial sectors who are passionate about safety, compliance, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC)
- Ensure AFC drawings, P&IDs, and commissioning documents reflect current site safety standards.
- Support the design of plant safety systems, including emergency exits, lighting, and assembly points.
- Oversee completion and review of equipment risk assessments.
- Document and investigate incidents, implementing corrective actions.
Operations & Maintenance (O&M)
- Collect and analyze safety data to identify hazards and trends.
- Prepare detailed monthly H&S reports for management.
- Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal H&S regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain H&S policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and employee training.
- Participate in incident investigations to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
Procurement & Logistics
- Specify health and safety requirements for purchase orders (e.g., PPE).
- Ensure consistent supply of necessary safety materials.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological Science, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Professional certification in OSHA or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in health and safety, preferably in Oil & Gas or heavy industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks including PSM, OSHA, EPA, and local compliance requirements.
