The Role
Persol Systems Limited is looking for a driven and goal-oriented Business Development Executive to join its commercial team. This role is suitable for professionals at an early to mid-career stage who are eager to build or advance a career in technology sales. You will contribute to business growth by sourcing new opportunities, supporting senior sales professionals, and progressively learning how to manage the full sales cycle for enterprise software solutions.
Role Summary
This position combines active prospecting with structured sales support. You will engage potential clients, manage leads, and assist with deal execution while gaining hands-on experience in enterprise and fintech software sales. The ideal candidate is persistent, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about technology-enabled business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation and Prospecting
- Research and identify potential corporate clients through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, and market analysis.
- Screen and qualify inbound leads to ensure suitability with Persol’s target customer profile.
- Maintain accurate and well-organized prospect records within the company’s CRM system.
Sales Support and Client Engagement
- Support senior sales team members in preparing tailored proposals, presentations, and product demos.
- Arrange meetings and demonstrations between prospective clients and technical or implementation teams.
- Represent Persol Systems at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to promote brand visibility and generate leads.
Relationship Management and Reporting
- Act as the initial point of contact for prospects during the discovery and qualification stages.
- Perform regular follow-ups to move leads through the sales funnel.
- Assist with onboarding new clients to ensure a smooth transition to the implementation team.
- Prepare weekly reports on activities and pipeline progress, including insights on market trends, competitors, and customer needs.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience: One (1) to three (3) years of experience in sales, telemarketing, or customer-facing roles. Experience in a technology or software-related environment is an advantage.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Knowledge of Ghanaian local languages is an added benefit.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Mindset: A proactive, target-driven attitude with resilience and the ability to handle rejection professionally.
- Professional Skills: Strong organizational ability, fast learning capacity, and professionalism when engaging business leaders and executives.
