Job Description

Tekled Ghana is seeking a full-time, on-site Shopify Store Developer and Manager with strong expertise in both front-end and back-end eCommerce development. This role also requires hands-on experience in designing professional product images for Shopify stores.

The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency with creative design skills, capable of building, managing, and optimizing a Shopify eCommerce store while producing visually engaging product images that improve user experience and drive sales conversions. Applicants should have at least three years of relevant experience and fall within the 25–35 age range.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, customize, and manage Shopify eCommerce stores from setup to launch and ongoing optimization
• Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Administer Shopify backend operations, including products, collections, pricing, inventory, payments, shipping, and tax configurations
• Integrate and manage Shopify apps and third-party tools
• Optimize website performance, loading speed, and mobile responsiveness
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues while ensuring store security and stability
• Apply Shopify SEO best practices to improve search visibility
• Support online marketing campaigns, promotions, and sales activities
• Design and edit high-quality product images, banners, and featured visuals for the Shopify store
• Ensure all product visuals align with brand standards and enhance conversion rates
• Collaborate closely with internal teams in a physical office environment

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience in developing and managing Shopify eCommerce stores
• Strong front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid)
• Solid understanding of Shopify backend systems and integrations
• Practical experience in designing product images for eCommerce platforms
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar software
• Good understanding of eCommerce UX/UI principles and visual merchandising
• Availability to work full-time, on-site
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and attention-to-detail skills

Added Advantage:

• Experience working with Shopify Plus
• Knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO), analytics, and performance tools
• Basic photography or image retouching experience
• Experience managing international or multi-currency Shopify stores

Portfolio Requirement (Mandatory)

• Shopify stores developed or managed
• Live store links (preferred)
• Samples of product images or eCommerce designs created
• A brief description of your role in each project
