Role Overview

Peak Skills Africa is currently recruiting a creative and technically proficient Video Editor to join its fully remote media team. This role plays a key part in producing visually engaging educational and promotional videos that align with the brand’s identity. The ideal candidate is self-driven, highly organized, and capable of consistently meeting monthly production targets while maintaining excellent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the creative team, your responsibilities will include:

• Editing diverse video content such as online course lessons, promotional videos, and social media clips
• Designing and integrating motion graphics elements, including animated intros, lower thirds, titles, and transitions
• Syncing audio, enhancing sound quality, and ensuring polished final outputs
• Collaborating closely with content creators and designers to understand project objectives and deliver expected outcomes
• Maintaining consistent branding and visual standards across all video productions
• Managing multiple projects concurrently while meeting strict deadlines
• Optimizing videos for platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other digital channels
• Staying updated with emerging video editing trends, tools, and best practices

Required Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:

• Proven professional experience as a Video Editor, supported by a strong portfolio or showreel
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop, or equivalent software
• Solid understanding of video formats, codecs, and export settings for online platforms
• Strong visual storytelling skills, including pacing, composition, and rhythm
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
• Reliable internet access and a fully equipped video editing workstation
• A disciplined, results-oriented approach to meeting monthly content delivery targets

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience producing video content for online learning or educational platforms
• Knowledge of color grading, sound design, and basic animation techniques
• Familiarity with branding and marketing-focused video production
