Role Overview
GWO SEVO is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer with a Front-End focus to design, develop, and maintain web and mobile applications. The role requires strong front-end expertise in modern frameworks such as React.js along with general backend knowledge. This position plays a key part in enhancing user experience, optimizing system performance, and delivering scalable solutions across the company’s digital products.
The role reports to the Developer Team Lead and is based in Abelemkpe, Accra (Full-Time).
Key Responsibilities
Front-End Development
- Develop responsive, interactive web interfaces using React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Create reusable UI components and maintain scalable front-end architecture
- Integrate front-end applications with RESTful or GraphQL APIs
- Apply modern styling approaches such as Styled Components or Tailwind CSS
- Optimize web application performance and ensure cross-browser/device compatibility
- Maintain basic understanding of backend frameworks (Node.js/Express, Python/Django)
Mobile Application Development
- Design, build, test, and deploy mobile applications for Android, iOS, or cross-platform frameworks (Flutter/React Native)
- Integrate apps with APIs, SDKs, payment gateways, and third-party services
- Troubleshoot mobile-specific bugs, crashes, and performance issues
- Ensure mobile applications meet store guidelines and manage deployments on Google Play Store and Apple App Store
- Optimize mobile applications for speed, responsiveness, and usability
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver integrated features
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and system optimization
- Implement secure coding practices for web and mobile environments
- Stay up-to-date with the latest development frameworks, tools, and trends
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, ICT, or related fields
- 3+ years of full-stack development experience, with a strong front-end portfolio
- Proficiency in React.js, modern JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript
- Experience in mobile app development using Flutter or React Native
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and backend integration
- Strong knowledge of UI/UX principles for web and mobile platforms
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices
- Experience deploying apps to Google Play Store and Apple App Store
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills
