Job Opportunity
CRS is seeking a dedicated Project Officer to join the HOPE-MCH project team. In this essential role, you will monitor, report, and support field activities, ensuring alignment with best practices and maximizing the project’s positive impact. Your work will directly contribute to CRS’s mission to serve vulnerable populations with quality and accountability.
Job Summary
As a Project Officer, you will coordinate and implement project activities in accordance with CRS program standards and donor requirements. You will work closely with District Health Management Teams (DHMTs), local partners, and community members, facilitating communication, documentation, and monitoring for effective project delivery.
Roles and Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement all assigned project activities according to the detailed work plan.
- Facilitate communication and information sharing among project staff, implementing partners, and community beneficiaries.
- Use GPS systems to map project sites, including communities and health facilities.
- Ensure accurate and complete project documentation in compliance with agency and donor guidelines.
- Collaborate with DHMTs to align project activities with agreements and health protocols.
- Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and report findings to inform adjustments.
- Support accountability through data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
- Identify staff capacity needs and document promising practices for case studies and reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Public Health, Nutrition, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum of two years in project support, community development, or mobilization. Fresh graduates with relevant skills may also be considered.
- Preferred Experience: Maternal and child health, early childhood development, gender inclusion, or disability programming in NGO settings.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, strong observation and relationship management, attention to detail, and facilitation abilities.
- Languages: Fluent in English; proficiency in local languages (Dagbani, Mampruli, Twi, Hausa) is an asset.
- Other Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time to project communities and ability to ride a motorbike in rough terrain.
